While it will be crazy busy, it's going to be amazing. There's nothing better than ministering the Word of God and seeing people's lives changed. Just over the last two years or so, God has been opening doors for me to preach in these different places for regular services, youth services, and now Kids Krusades as well. These events are always independent of Free Point Church of which we pastor. It's an exciting opportunity to preach the Word to new people, but I always enjoy being back in my home pulpit and preaching what God has laid on my heart for our church and community.
So as we get ready to jump start the first leg of our summer ministry, my focus for next week is on Oakview and Donalsonville. In praying about what to speak, God has brought back to my remembrance some things I had been mulling over in the past while also illuminating some new things in some familiar portions of scripture. Unless God changes things up, and I'm completely open to that, I'll be preaching Sunday night on the subject, "An Appetite for Death." Monday night, I'll preach on the subject, "The Dog became a Prince." Tuesday night, I'll preach on the subject, "The Prophet. The Prostitute. The Passion." Lastly, Wednesday night, I'll preach on the subject, "Sinners, Spectators, and Sadducees." I'm believing God for souls to be saved, delivered, set free, and for it continue long after I'm gone.
In the meantime, Sunday's on its way and I'm looking forward to what God is going to continue to do at Free Point as we remain in the river sermon series with the message, "The Rivers' Force." Don't worry Free Point . . . I'll be back each Sunday to continue preaching our river series throughout the end of July!
