In the process of talking about these events, Smith speaks to the reader about trusting God for His will and placement in our lives and to embrace opportunities and moments when they appear. Part of that embracing begins long before the prize is visible. Smith talks about the importance of spiritual disciplines and worship in learning to grow in God and to know His heart and hear His voice.
