But for the next several months, I will be scheduling a once a month Sunday Night Service/Meeting to push, explain, and describe the vision of the church. The vision I will be speaking to will not be like the January "Vision Points" series I preach at the beginning of each year. Those series focus on the yearly vision and focus God wants us to have. Instead, these periodic Sunday night vision services/meetings will speak to the overall vision of the church in terms of a new sanctuary, community businesses, widow's homes, pregnancy care centers, church planting, and more. These are not yearly focuses, but are instead church focuses for each and every year.
In Habakkuk 2, the prophet is told to write the vision down and make it plain so the reader will understand it and be able to run with it or advance it. I believe this new series will help those in our church that want to know the vision of the church know how to get involved and help push it forward. I'm going to make it "nuts and bolts" simple in discussing the vision God has laid on my heart for this church, community, and surrounding areas. I encourage all of our Free Point family to come out during these times for a time of worship and vision casting and dreaming.
Our first vision service will be THIS Sunday night at 6 PM. It's not on our usual calendar or even on the website as of yet. I planned on starting the first one in April, but I feel a prompting to go ahead and move forward with this vision series. So this Sunday night at 6 PM, we are going to come back together for worship and vision casting. The first part of our total church vision I will be speaking about in this series is our new sanctuary. If you're interesting in knowing about our new sanctuary, when we're looking for it, what it's going to take to get there, and how you can help, I wouldn't miss this service this Sunday night.
So make your plans to be at Free Point for morning worship at 10:45 AM and then plan on coming back at 6 PM to worship again and hear about our upcoming sanctuary project. It's closer than you think with your help and support. Then plan on staying afterwards as we have a Chili Cook Off!
God is doing amazing things at Free Point as He always has. It's just going to keep getting better and better. Let's get in and move together with God!
