Altogether we sang for about an hour and a half and I could feel the presence of the Lord in the place from the beginning. Thank you to everyone who came today and worshiped with us. Free Point has come a long way from a church scheduled to close to one that broke every record it previously held, did more than anyone ever thought possible, and set the stage for amazing things for the future. One of our favorite things to do was to play music and lead worship with everyone at the church. I know I'm biased, but Billie has done a tremendous job leading the worship in the almost year that she's been leading. I would have certainly preached today in a heartbeat, but I felt worshiping and celebrating one more time together would be the perfect way to cap off our ministry at the church and I wanted Billie to lead "her band" one more time. Thank you for making the worship amazing today. Thank you for blessing us with an amazing meal and the love offering today as well. Thank you for the cards and all the kind and heart-touching words. You went above and beyond to make us feel special and we truly felt your love and appreciation today. It truly meant so much.
We have been so blessed by so many over the little more than 6 years we've been privileged to serve as pastors of the great church in Perry. We've made memories that will last a lifetime. As Billie pointed out this morning, Perry is the place where we bought our first car together, bought our first house, and had our first child. We experienced so much of life in this town and did so with so many of our church people who quickly became more than members to us. We'll always hold to those memories and look forward to sharing in so many more in the future.
And so from the first announcement a few weeks ago to the closing hours of Sunday, February 2, 2014, everything has come to a close. The changeover is complete. We have officially became the new pastors at Bell Street Church of God in Hazlehurst. We are beyond excited for this new chapter in our lives and ministry. We look forward to being in service with our new church family this Wednesday night and look forward to our first Sunday on February 9, 2014. I believe it will be the beginning of something amazing.
So again, to Free Point Church with all our love, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for an experience that has been amazing and unforgettable for us. We've seen God do things in the more than six years we've been here that have truly blown us away and grew our faith to believe for even bigger things. We take all of these experiences with us in our hearts and minds as we continue to pursue the great call of Christ to win the lost and disciple the won.
We will never forget you.
