I saw this book at Winter Campmeeting and it was only $4 so I had to get it. The book is Amy's words about Amy's life. It's put together like a real mosaic. It's not a regular book with a chapter starting with her childhood and progressing to the present. It literally is put together with a 3 page chapter here and a 10 page chapter there. You'll find yourself with her in the beginning of her career as a 16 year old to being married to Vince Gill or giving birth to her third child. It's woven together creatively and keeps you involved in her life from start to present randomly.
If you like her music then you'll love the book. If you're not that interested in Amy Grant then you probably wouldn't enjoy the book. She doesn't talk much at all about her divorce several years back. It's pretty obvious she just doesn't want to go there at all. And that's fine. I think everyone has the right to decide what parts of their past are closed off to others. She speaks about her family and her faith which help to keep her grounded and strong. She certainly seems to be a remarkable woman. And at 46, I still think she's "kinda" cute . . .
