Think about it. Who among us doesn't want your life to count for something? Who really just wants to live and die and not leave an impact on anyone or make a mark for Christ? That's what the whole book is about. Making your life count for something.
Max does a great job as usual of taking scripture and making it very plain in regards to how we should be living our life to the fullest for the cause of Christ and not the cause of self. I had to stop several times and write down things God was giving me and pray several times. There are dreams locked up inside of me. Some are for myself, others for my family, and still many others for my church and community. It's not that I'm not trying to let them out, but it became clear to me while reading this book I was going about it the wrong way and regardless of the wait time, it would be worth it in the end. Yet I have to pursue them.
This book should be read by every Christian. Great book! It will challenge you to get outside your "clamshell" and see the world for what it is and what Jesus saw it as . . . . "For when He looked at the crowd, He had compassion on them as they looked like sheep without a shepherd." What are you doing to change the world? What are you doing to change your small sphere of influence? Are you just existing or do you call yourself just waiting? Faith without works is dead. Let's get up and get moving. Jesus is coming soon. Time is running out. Time to leave a legacy.
