Morgan takes the reader through several different paths to possibly creating such a church environment where sinners will want to be in service; where the community will recognize the church as needed and important; where the focus of the church is on ministry, worship, and people. He tackles the very real problems in the church of selfishness, in-fighting, emotionalism, and unloving attitudes. He speaks directly to the church, especially the Pentecostal church, about becoming more aware of the community and the people in which the church ministers.
Morgan basically took 75% of what I've been trying to preach for years at my church and condensed it down to 155 pages of straight forward questioning and reality. I picked this book up at our state Campmeeting a couple of years ago and I wish I hadn't waited so long to read it. Though it was written in 2003, some 10 years later, Morgan's points are not dated, but even more enforced. Great book!
