Islam is not an ancient religion. It came after Christ and the Bible. Muhammad was illiterate, and is still dead in a grave in Medina. And yet our leaders and our country go out of their way to make sure that we don't offend one of the newer world religions in comparison to all the others. Meanwhile, Christianity, the religion that helped provide the bedrock of our morals, principles, and laws, is ignored, ostracized, attacked, and targeted. It's open season on Jesus Christ in comedy skits, but Muhammad is to be respected and lauded. This senselessness has to end. It's time to call a spade a spade. It's time to quit worrying about who we offend and do the right thing.
With the attack on the French people in Paris yesterday, ISIS or "ISIL," as our individual impersonating a president calls them, is taking their attack to the masses outside of the Middle East. Their targets are Christians and Westerners. Anyone that doesn't bow to Muhammad is on the list. That means if you're not a Muslim, you're on the list. But our leadership doesn't want to take this seriously. Just a few hours before the devastating attacks, President Obama sat down for a national interview in which he said that "ISIL" is contained and not spreading. And America continues to look lost, out of touch, and downright stupid in the world.
ISIS attacked France and at least one of the terrorists was from Syria possibly coming over as a "refugee." These same refugees are slated to come into the US at a clip of 200,000 to 250,000. It took only eight known attackers to inflict the carnage in Paris yesterday. What's the likelihood that eight more ISIS fighters could smuggle themselves into our country with that incoming refugee population? Doesn't make you feel very safe does it? And it shouldn't. In response to the attacks, the French president immediately closed their borders and declared war. Our president refuses to see our borders as an issue along with his whole party affiliation. We won't declare war. We won't fight, until we have to, or until Russia beats us to the punch . . .
We're in such a hurry in this country to throw away the Bible, to disregard Jesus Christ, and to ignore our own history that we're imploding upon ourselves. We'd rather fight climate change than radical Islam. We'd rather protect a refugee with no papers than a helpless, defenseless baby in a mother's womb. We'd rather celebrate unnatural affection and homosexual sex, than fight for the family unit which has proved successful and needful since well . . . Adam and Eve.
We'd rather make the US Military a social issues experimental laboratory rather than the mean fighting machine that makes nations think twice about hurting us or our allies. Unfortunately diplomacy is typically only effective when there exists a military behind it that makes compromise the better option. But no one is afraid of America anymore. We let our people die overseas while blaming a video so as not to upset perceived progress with Islamic nations who by religious conviction have to hate us. We'd rather scale down our military budget while we build up our national debt. The solution? Let's tax the dickens out of the rich, successful people. Let's pay pickle pushers and pepper shakers $15 an hour. Let's demonize every individual as a racist or homophobe that doesn't agree with the popular, left-wing, media brainwashing opinion. Let's force good teachers out of their classrooms. Let's boycott playing college football for free while getting a superior education. Let's celebrate tolerance only when it's with the popular opinion. Our nation is on a straight trajectory to hell and our leaders seem to be mashing the gas as if the flames will burn out before they get there.
The media and the left as a whole have become gifted and skilled at appealing to the hearts of Americans, especially younger generations, all the while encouraging a complete abandonment of critical, better yet, any thinking, whatsoever. The same people yelling for amnesty and refugees completely ignore the 15 million Americans who can't find a job and the thousands of veterans who die without healthcare and benefits. An illegal immigrant comes to America and gets a free ID, free healthcare, free college tuition, and pays no taxes. If you're born here, you pay for all of those things, and out the nose for sure. If you fight for our country and lose a limb or are impaired in any way upon return whether physically or psychologically, you may or may not be taken care of. Our whole system is backwards. We refuse to take care of our own people, and we demonize the people of our country who won't buy into the destroying principles of an incompetent administration.
Some things are just common sense. It's impossible to divorce emotion from all areas of life, and we shouldn't. But we should start thinking about real life scenarios minus the fluffy clouds and rainbow induced rays of sunshine. It's irresponsible to not take care of a nation's own people anyway you cut it. But in the days of political correctness, we strive to not offend the popular, or at least most vocal, sectors of our country. This political correctness is killing us to the core. The desire to not offend is paralyzing us from any meaningful action. Because we refuse to take meaningful action on the major issues of our world, we're being beaten on almost every front.
I applaud the French president for not worrying about who he offended as he protected his people last night. We'd better learn to follow suit before we weaken ourselves to the point of overrunning ourselves. ISIS and Islam are a force to be reckoned with. ISIS is NOT contained and are not a JV squad. They've targeted us and our way of life. They chose the concert hall of Paris last night. They chose the soccer stadium last night. It's not enough to kill people. They want to systematically destroy the way people live and operate on a daily basis. They want to inflict fear, thus the name terrorist. The French people arose from the ashes last night in strong solidarity and sang the nation's anthem arm in arm. I'm American to the core, but that sight brings tears to my eyes.
There are ISIS camps in America as we speak. Hundreds of people have been killed on our soil by Muslims since 9-11. The most recent shooting in Modesto was by a young student with an ISIS flag. They're here. They live among us. And they're waiting to strike. They are patient, coordinated, and systematic. In other words, they are all the things that we seem to struggle with on a national level. They plan their strike strategically for maximum impact. They piece by piece, bit by bit, chip away at our American society and heritage. They infiltrate the social movements started by ignorant individuals seeking their 15 minutes of fame. They help encourage us to restrict our police forces, stop spending on our military defense, and ignore Judeo-Christian principles and values. And they are succeeding at all of this. They come freely into our country because our borders are a joke. We've got real issues that are going to require more than a bleeding heart to fix.
Plain and simple, there are lots of things that I believe would help our nation on a political level. I do enjoy politics and history, and I've got my share of opinions. But what we really need to do is to recognize that the answer this nation needs is Jesus Christ, not Muhammad. We have a sin problem. All the tax reform in the world won't fix that. We need to pray for our nation. We need to pray for Paris. If we're Christians, we need to be Christians. We need not be swayed to the left or right by popular opinion, modernity, or persuasion. The church has the answer in Christ. Let's show the answer. Jesus said no one lights a light in the darkness and then hides it. Shine Jesus. Be His hands and feet. You and I probably won't be sitting in Congress or the Oval Office anytime soon, but we can change our world where we currently sit. It's got to start somewhere or else my little girls won't have a nation to enjoy the way you and I have.
